The Manager, Computing Architecture will oversee and direct computer infrastructure including servers, desktop, data center operations, backup and recovery operations including disaster recovery, secu! rity, change management, database administration and departmen! tal administration to meet established business imperatives and compliance objectives. The Manager, Computing Architecture must view the company’s computing architecture as critical business assets and endeavor to optimize total cost of ownership and value for the Company’s many stakeholders.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Focuses on the technology infrastructure needs of the business;
Directs resources in the areas of requirements gathering, research, planning, design, project management and customer satisfaction;
Oversees the design, standards, documentation, maintenance and communications relating to computing architecture;
Develops and maintains a working knowledge of technology infrastructure and creates/updates roadmaps and plans for managing such systems through all stages of the system development lifecycle;
Participates in operating and capital budgeting processes based on business needs and technology roadmaps associated w! ith computing architecture;
Meets scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are clearly defined and met in a timely manner and maintains / deploys in-depth knowledge of best practices in managing computer operations and related infrastructure;
Assures projects are delivered within defined time and budget constraints and strives to exceed customer expectations;
Establishes and tracks performance against goals and objectives for development team members and develops / uses key performance metrics as a basis for driving continuous improvement activities;
Provides timely, salient and constructive written and verbal feedback to staff for purposes of performance improvement;
Regularly communicates and interacts with IS Development, Operations and Service Desk teams to prioritize and manage incidents, problems and changes logged in the Company’s ticketing system;
Manages work and appropriately adapts assignments and deadlines consistent wi! th changing customer priorities;
Provides regular timely reporting ! to management of computer operations and project activities;
Manages risk, system technical requirements, design, testing, QA, implementation and support of current and planned technologies;
Performs research and diligence activities including writing and circulating requests for proposal from vendors to establish and maintain strategic technology partnerships;
Maintains working knowledge of appropriate policies, procedures, internal controls, etc. and plans / directs relevant timely upgrades and enhancements to systems within required compliance deadlines;
Plans and executes acquisition due diligence activities for areas relating to computing architecture related infrastructure with integration activities following successful acquisitions;

Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science and/or engineering, information systems, or other related field;
Minimum 10 years of proven leadershi! p in progressive data center or related computer operations management including managing diverse team(s) in process and analysis, design and/or project management functions. Experience is required in defining technical specifications for Linux and Windows hardware, architecting solutions in support of relational database management systems and applications running on these platforms and successfully building and maintaining related equipment;
Experience managing cross-discipline and cross-functional teams to deliver systems applications that meet or exceed the value expectations of the business desired;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Comfortable working under general direction of senior level management;
A successful track record of working with cross-functional and multi-cultural teams;
Thorough understanding of general IT security; understanding of HIPAA and the HiTech Act helpful as a thorough understanding will be part of duties ! and responsibilities;
High user satisfaction orientation;
Prove! n ability to organize and prioritize projects and tasks, motivate team members, set and adhere to deadlines and comply with internal control requirements;
