Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree in Nursing, registration to practice nursing in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and one year of research nursing experience. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements. The university offers market competitive salary and benefits. Grade EF.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous clinical research experience (adult, or pediatric/industry, regulatory, or academic) is desirable. Candidate must have experience in department specialty.

Position Description

Coordinate research studies, provide nursing service and perform clinical procedures required for research for Kosair Charities Pediatric Clinical Reserach Unit in the department of Pediatrics. Duties will include, but not limited to, identifying/recruiting subjects for studies, venipuncture, collection and processing of specimens, vital sig! ns, ECG's and assistance with clinical examinations. Maintain ! subject records and documentation in accordance with FDA, GCP, ICH. IRB regulations and study specific protocols. Attend investigator meetings for specific study protocols. Prepare for initiation, monitoring, and close-out visits for assigned studies. Coordinate scheduling of subjects for laboratory tests and follow-up visits. Assist with maintenance of subject database. Position requires travel, night and/or weekend work as indicated by clinical protocols.
