Overview

To assist in crisis management for residential and non-residential clients. Cover crisis office and telephone lines. Perform office/clerical/data entry duties.

Job Skills/Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy, safety planning, information and referrals and other supportive services to clients of domestic violence and sexual assault in shelter, as walk-ins, or on the crisis line. Provide relocation assistance.

Conduct intake and exit assessments. Assist with medications, transportation and childcare as needed.

Answer/screen/document and appropriately direct incoming phone calls. Cover h ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Conduct intake and exit assessments. Assist with medications, transportation and childcare as needed.

Answer/screen/document and appropriately direct incoming phone calls. Cover hospital advocacy and front desk shifts as assigned. Coordinate hospital runs and complete associated paperwork and stats as appropriate. Support the Lethality Assessment Project.
Maintain daily documentation in log book, daily/monthly statistics and other administrative duties as assigned. Successfully complete KDVA Level I Certification during first year of CWF employment and maintain certification for duration of employment with CWF. Attend Case Conference, In-service and other Center meetings/trainings as required.

Implement Trauma Informed Care practices as appropriate.

Facilitate m! ediation and conflict resolution sessions with residents.

Collaborate with Family Advocates and other staff to support residential clients and positive program outcomes.

Communicate maintenance needs. Organize and stock storage spaces and client/office supplies.

Collaborate with community partners (i.e. Law Enforcement, CPS, Volunteers, etc.) to promote positive relationships.

Assist with training and mentoring new staff, SANE nurses, volunteers and interns.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Bachelor degree required per KY law.

OTHER: Per 920 Kentucky Administrative Regulations (KAR) 2:010, the following applies:
  • 40 hours training on Rape and Sexual Abuse to be completed within 90 days (3 month! s) of employment
  • 8 hours (of the 40 hours) must be completed p! rior to direct client contact
  • 12 hours of annual continued education (CE) of which 6 hours must include Rape/Sexual Abuse topics and 6 hours of REQUIREMENTS (for minimum)

Fluency in languages other than Englis! h and cultural knowledge are a plus. Must provide own transportation and/or have a valid driver̢۪s license as appropriate per job needs.
