Description: University of Kentucky is hiring Nurse Director University Health Services/UKHC right now, this career will be placed in Kentucky. This position is directly responsible for the administration and management of all nursing care and clinical operations rendered to UK students,! employees and others at the University Health Service. Responsible with Nurse Managers, for daily operations of outpatient clinics. Coordinates and monitors standards of care, policies, and procedures. Responsible for staying current with Nursing Standards, State and Federal laws/regulations/guidelines. Provides direct patient care as needed. Responsible for all off-site or special clinics including flu shots, athletic physicals, walk-in immunization/compliance weeks. Prepares monthly staffing coverage, responsible for time sheets, vacation approvals, corrective actions. Develops and properly documents JAQ's, recruiting, hiring, and training. Supervises, coaches, and disciplines all nursing staff. Oversees orientation and development of competencies, oversight of nurse credentialing. Establishes performance criteria and evaluates performance. Ensures professional development of staff. Conducts routine staff meetings. Represents UHS on University and UK HealthCare committee! s. Provides excellent customer satisfaction. Abides by the UKH! C Behavioral Expectations for Service Excellence: Commitments to Performance. Manages resources ensuring proper working equipment/adequate supplies are available for patient care. Participates in budget process and is responsible for operating clinic within the established budget for the fiscal year.
