Registered Nurses in Tower 100 Acute Care of the Trauma Acute Care Surgical Center at UK Chandler Hospital provide care primarily for adult patients with trauma or acute care surgical ! conditions. Patient conditions include injuries resulting from blunt and penetrating trauma, solid organ transplant, and vascular and non-elective orthopaedic surgeries. The Trauma Acute Care Surgical Center is comprised of three units: ICU, Progressive Care, and Acute Care. The average length of stay for most patients is 5 days.
The Trauma Acute Care Surgical Center consists of two towers with ICU, progressive, acute, and telemetry rooms in each tower. All rooms are private and allow two visitors in each room until 9pm and one overnight visitor. A social worker and service coordinator are on-site to provide referrals and consultations for patients and their family members.
The primary responsibilities for this position consist of providing total, continuous, and patient centered care in a collaborative work environment. The environment supports collaborative efforts among the nursing staff and the- team of physicians to increase communication and enhance ! expected patient outcomes. This includes utilization of the nu! rsing process in conjunction with a comprehensive patient-centered plan of care, ensuring patient satisfaction, delegating duties to unlicensed personnel, and adhering to University policies and procedures as well as federal, state and local regulations.

Preferred Educati! on / Experience
Prefer a Bachelor's degree in nursing and at least one year of RN experience.
