This position presents an opportunity to join a highly regarded team of passionate ph! ysicians and nurses within the Clinical Decision Unit. RN's will be working with patients with a variety of diagnosis' such as Complicated pulmonary and respiratory diagnoses, acute MI's, Heart Failure, Neuro, Liver Failure; No vents or titratable pressers. All beds monitored. RN's must be able to work with high acuity PCU/SDU level patients + more stable telemetry patients. This unit is used to decompress the ED, ICU, high acuity SDU's where patients are observed/monitored/stabilized, plan of care instituted, then moved to beds on other units when open. Length of stay on unit is measured in hours vs. days with goal < 24 hrs. this unit is very fast paced, with lots of admissions/transfers. Qualified RN's can expect to work with, some conscious sedation procedures as well as some titratable drips, such as Cardizem.

The role of the cardiac telemetry nu! rse (Tele RN) is to provide care for patients by comfortably connecting them to machines that measure blood pressure, heart rate, breathing rate, blood-oxygen level, and electrocardiogram information. The tele RN also monitors and interprets this data, assessing any potential health problems and needs, while also developing nursing care plans and maintaining accurate medical records. A telemetry nurse typically works in hospitals or other clinical environments.
