Provides care to assigned residents in a caring, safe and efficient manner; and is responsible to perform the following a! ccording to Good Samaritan mission, center/campus standards, p! rocedures and individualized resident care plans:

Resident Care:
Assures medications and treatments are administered to assigned residents following nursing standards of practice. Updates care plan as needed.

Resident Rights:
Safeguards residents property. Maintains residents self-esteem, privacy and confidentiality of personal information. Provides residents with opportunities for independence and choice consistent with their care plans. Assures and assists to maintain safe, pleasant, orderly resident living areas.

Communication:
Assures physicians orders are processed and physicians notifies in a timely manner. Directs and documents care provided to residents. Directs and assists with resident, family/significant other education. Responds promptly to resident call lights. Receives and shares information; observes and reports residents conditions to appropriate staff.

Other:
Performs other rela! ted duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

This is a BAYLOR position, PT Nurse Baylor (Saturday and Sunday 8 hours on 1st shift.)

Following are the minimum requirements to be hired into this job:

Knowledge: basic ability to communicate and comprehend; ability to measure and comprehend certain quantities; knowledge of basic nursing skills; knowledge and familiarity with therapeutic effects and side effects of all medications administered; graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Prior Experience: 6 months work experience required as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.

Basic Abilities: ability to meet the physical and mental abilities of the job as outlined. Must be able to speak, read and write in English and be able to articulate clearly and audibly. Ability to meet conditions of employment applicable to the center/campus.

Specific Abilities/Tr! aining: licensure for state of practice is required; current CPR ce! rtification or ability to become certified in CPR within 180 days of hire.

Must be willing and able to meet center expectations regarding attendance, accountability and quality customer service.
