Overview
Located in the new Kosair Charities Center on Masonic Homes' 82-acre Louisville campus, Sproutlings will offer care for more than 100 children in a specially-designed 13,000 sq. ft. day care with classrooms, lounge and play areas for each age group. The hours of operation will be Monday - Friday, 6:30am-6:30pm.
Sproutlings is a referral-based Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Center* for up to 55 medically fragile children. Job Skills/Requirements
The nurse assistant is a person who, under the supervision of the nurse, assists the nursing staff by performing selected nursing ! procedures and routine duties in caring for the students. All functions performed must be within the scope of training received.
There is room for growth and opportunity as our census expands. A full time position may or may not be available in the near future.
Qualifications, Skills and Education Requirements include:

Qualifications, Skills and Education Requirements include:
Must be a high school graduate or the equivalent
Must have CNA Certification and be in good standing
Must be 18 years of age or older!
Demonstrates effective multi-tasking, time management, and st! ress management skills
Demonstrates strong work ethic to achieve Sproutlings and organization goals
Job Duties include:
Takes temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, and other vital signs and records in the appropriate place.
Gives and/or assists with bed bath, tub bath, shower.
Gives and/or assist with oral hygiene and special mouth care.
Assists students with dressing.
Cares for students hair or assists when needed.
Changes students position and/or position comfortably in bed by lifting, turning and moving and by use of mechanical lifts.
Serves meals and assists of feeds students as needed.
Measures oral fluid intake and urinary output.
Measures height and weight.
Assists students to ambulate and/or transports students via wheel chair or stretcher as needed.
Observes and reports unusual student behavior.
Tidies classrooms and other work! space as assigned
Helps maintain a clean and suitable environment by cleaning utility rooms, linen closets, kitchen and unit equipment as required and needed.
Responds appropriately to fire alarms and weather/disaster alerts.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active CPR certification
- Active Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) by State of Kentucky
