The Nurse Clinical Senior-Certified will provide comprehensive patient care for adult and geriatric pa! tients in accordance with nationally accepted standards. Provides high quality bedside nursing care in a safe, infectious free environment with the highest expectations of customer satisfaction. Acts as a consultant to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and reassess the care of patients with abdominal stomas, draining wounds or fistulas, pressure sores or dermal wounds, or continence disorders. Is involved with physical, emotional, and social rehabilitation of patients. Collaborates with physicians and other clinical staff. Mentors staff. Educates staff and patients regarding related treatment. Perform other duties as assigned.
The primary responsibilities for this position consist of providing total, continuous, and patient centered care in a collaborative work environment. The environment supports collaborative efforts among the nursing staff and the team of physicians to increase communication and enhance expected patient outcomes. This includes utilization of t! he nursing process in conjunction with a comprehensive patient! -centered plan of care, ensuring patient satisfaction, delegating duties to unlicensed personnel, and adhering to University policies and procedures as well as federal, state and local regulations.
