The ER Tech is to provide basic patient care under the direction of licensed Registered Nurses and MD's for the following populations: Adolescent (12-18 years), Adult (18-65 years), Geriatric (65 and over), Neonate/Infant (birth to 1 year) and Pediatric (1-12 years). Functions in a multi-skilled environment that requires application of customer service, clerical skills, and some patient related activities.
Required
Desired
High School Diploma or GED; Completion of vocational or diploma training in medical, technical or other appropriate area of specialization
CPR; Certified Nursing Assistant
Previous ER experience; Previous experience in basic patient care, patient transportation, ordering and stocking inventory, equipment maintenance or other patient related activities.
Basic vital sign and patient monitoring equipment. Blo! od glucose monitoring. Computer skills. EKG machines
