STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
Responsible for setting u! p new claims, issuing payments, input of deferred payments, provide support to adjusters and nurses. Provide customer service for client, providers and claimants. Certain duties may vary depending on the client the CSR is handling.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Set up new claims in the system.
• Prepare first reports, notes, etc for imaging.
• Provide customer service to clients, providers, & claimants.
• Mail send backs on claims.
• Process returned documents and checks.
• Assist adjusters and nurses as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL/LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:

• Accurate data entry ability (8,000 keystrokes alpha/numeric or 45 wpm-5% or lower error rate).
• Basic office skills: (75% or higher) structure and layout of e-mail for business purposes, grammar, math, filing, and spelling.
• Working knowledge of Windows computer skills (75% or higher on basic skills).
Excellent customer service and telephone skills.
• E! xcellent interpersonal skills; written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and organize tasks.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment under general supervisor direction to complete all assignments.
• Ability to meet Company adjudication standards.
• Ability to adhere to Company attendance policy.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Previous office experience (2 years), workers’ compensation preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes.
