Position Title: ARNP
Department: Medicine - Nephrology
Full/Part Time: Full-Time
Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt

JOB SUMMARY
Coordinate inpatient and ou! tpatient medical and nursing care for dialysis patients.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
PATIENT CARE

• Perform patient history and physicals and coordinate patient care.
• Provide comprehensive patient and family education and counseling.
• Coordinate inpatient and outpatient medical and nursing care.
• Conduct the triage of patients.
• Development of care plan for each patient; discuss plan of care with the patient and family.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records, including electronic records.
• Assess the type of dialysis selected which best meets the needs of each patient. Review laboratory data and implement changes in treatment as prescribed by set policies.

• Other duties as assigned

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT AND CONTINUING EDUCATION

• Maintain current information regarding new developments in ! dialysis therapy and primary care services.
• Maintain ! appropriate licensure and certification as registered nurse, Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nephrology Nurse within 2 years of employment.

MINIMIUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner
• Certified Nephrology Nurse within 2 yrs of employment
• Kentucky Nursing License
• Current CPR Certification

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS ABILITIES

• Minimum of 2 years as an ARNP in Nephrology

WORKING CONDITIONS
Requires travel to free-standing dialysis units within Jefferson County and Hardin County, Ky.
