POSITION SUMMARY:
The Regional Nurse Auditor performs Medicare and Medicaid (Visiting Nurse and Personal Care) compliance audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as well as organizational policies and procedures. Required the ability to perform a detailed and objective review of medical records, identify and analyze issues noted, and accurately communicate those results both verbally and in writing. Extensive travel is required to perform audits of each agency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a valid RN license.
Home health experience required.
Knowledge of Medicaid regulations required .
Home health management experience preferred.
Medical record audit or review experience preferred.
Sound knowledge of clinical practice and leadership abilities.
Excellent ability to retrieve, communicate and present information both verbally and in writing.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, handle multiple projects and work under pressure in a cooperative work environment.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to learn quickly.
Must be self-directed and motivated.
Strong attention to detail and high accuracy rate.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Must be willing and able to travel 50-75% for day and overnight trips. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct audits on-site and/or remotely from the Corporate Office as requested by Senior Management and prepare clear and concise report of issues noted.
Participate in clinical acquisition activities as requested.
Extensive day and overnight travel required - 50-75%.
