Certified Nursing Assistant- HICC

Location: Louisville Kentucky

Description: Hosparus is presently looking of Certified Nursing Assistant- HICC right now, this job will be placed in Kentucky. The Inpatient Unit Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for delivery of personal care to hospice patients in the Inpatient Unit within basic policies of the Nursing Services Department and overall department goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Professional Efficiency

• Demonstrates CNA skills necessary to deliver personal care to hospice patients in the Inpatient Unit, as requested by and under the supervision of a registered nurse. Follows CNA plan of care.
• Complies with regulatory agency standards and participates in regulatory survey process when ! requested.
• Provides additional CNA services to patien! ts as requested by registered nurse.
• Accurate point of service documentation in the electronic documentation system.
• Answers call lights and alarms in a timely manner.

Collaboration

• Collaborates with the Registered Nurse to assure completion of duties.
• Receives report from registered nurse on each new patient assigned, prior to providing care.
• Reinforces patient and family education specific to the patient’s health care needs in ways that are understandable and appropriate.
• Collaborates with team members to assure coordination in delivery of care.
• Demonstrates collaborative and collegial relationships with team members.
• Works with team members to assure cost-effective care.

Communication

• Communicates with registered nurse and Clinical Manager/Charge Nurse as needed to assure patient care needs are met.
• Communicates clearly, concisely and in a t! imely manner with team members.

Required Experience:Experience:

• One year home health aide or nursing assistant experience preferred.

Required Education:Education and training and licensing requirements:

• High school diploma required.
• CNA certification required in Kentucky required.
• CPR certification required or must be able to obtain upon completion of orientation
