The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for reporting functionally to the RN Supervisor overseeing the clients care and administratively to the RN Branch Manager or the scheduling coordinator.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform personal care duties as assigned.
Prepares meals and performs light housekeeping duties when assigned.
Use good judgment in performance of duties and contact Service Office whenever there is a concern regarding duties assigned or ability to safely and appropriately carry out those duties.
Able to perform all basic! nursing assistant skills identified on the agency skills chec! k-list.
Document follow-through with all duties assigned as part of the client's care.
Report changes in the client condition to the registered nurse and contributes to changes in the plan of care.
Maintains a minimum of 12 hours of in-servicing/training per calendar year and applies this knowledge and training to client care.
Be a part of client conferences.
Strictly adhere to agency policies regarding scheduling and work assignments.
Turn in all documentation on a weekly basis according to agency policy.
Comply with Company Employee Conduct policy.
Comply with all company policies.
Requirements
Certified as a nurse's aide in the state in which the aide is to provide care.
Demonstrate competency in the skills needed to fulfill the position of home health aide.
Adequate transportation to meet job responsibilities.
Able to lift thirty five pounds with no restr! ictions in the care of clients.
Able to read, write, and carry out instructions.
Meet current home health agency regulations and requirements for employment.
Able to be reached by a working phone during his/her course of employment with the agency.
