The position of CASE MANAGER-REGISTERED NURSE is with a large high-tech manufacturing company in Louisville, Kentucky. This position will provide medical case management for injury and illne! ss with proven experience in worker's compensation, short term disability and leave of absence. Primary focus is disability management utilizing highly developed critical thinking skills to control and minimize cost of disability, promote optimal recovery and minimal lost work time. Promote optimal recovery and provide effective counseling of disabled employees. Will provide appropriate referrals and/or treatment alternatives, collaborate to establish realistic goals and activities with goal of successful return to work, consistent with physician recommendations and any applicable employer policies. Consistent communication with employees, physicians, department managers and employee relations consultant.
REQUIRED: Chosen candidate must be a REGISTERED NURSE, minimum of Associate Degree. Must have at least 2 years of experience in workers compensation, short term disability and leave of absence. Knowledge and experience in computer programs to measure outcomes an! d prioritize work flow-STD/LTD/ADAAA/FMLA. Must have counselin! g skills, knowledge of current health care practices and HIPPA.
