In collaboration with the National Cardiovascul! ar Service Line (NCVSL) team and the MBO Dyad Cardiovascular leaders, clinical team members and physicians, provides support and direction in achieving cardiovascular clinical and quality goals within the communities we serve. This position provides leadership and guidance to CHI cardiovascular programs in both national and local clinical quality improvement initiatives.

Essential Duties:
1. Coordinates on-going support and refinement of the CVSL balanced scorecard. Includes quality metric review and analysis; as well as national and market specific performance improvement initiatives. Supports MBO and JOA quality leaders to enhance cardiovascular service line patient and physician experience through Healthstream data analysis. Works in collaboration with MBO Dyad Cardiovascular Leader and quality leaders in the selection and implementation of new quality metrics.

2. Provides organization and leadership to cardiovascular quality review and perfo! rmance improvement committees. Works closely and collaborative! ly with other national teams; i.e. Clinical Services, Physician Services, Performance Excellence, Evidence-Based Practices, etc. Identifies and implements educational programs targeted at improving quality performance among clinical cardiovascular providers.

3. Supports the NCVSL team in maintaining the national cardiovascular data warehouse, working with Business Intelligence, Finance, Clinical Services and MBO CV leadership to ensure comprehensive data related to the service line is accessible.

4. Leads national standardization of the cardiovascular inpatient cardiovascular registries, such as STS and ACC NCDR; coordinates and leads abstractor workgroups to standardize processes and enhance data integrity.

5. Coordinating with the One Care division, supports development and refinement of the cardiovascular ambulatory electronic health record by working closely with the NCVSL team, MBO Dyad Cardiovascular Leaders, the Clinical Services group and ! other appropriate areas.

6. Working with the NCVSL team and MBO Dyad Cardiovascular leaders, evaluate cardiovascular accreditation opportunities which support top tier performance, such as Society of CPC, JCAHO Heart Failure, and Thomson Top 50 accreditations. Coordinate MBO/JOA work group or committees to support achievement of selected accreditations, sharing leading practices across MBO/JOAs.

7. Supports the evaluation of new cardiovascular technologies and clinical program development; i.e. LVADs, TAVR, and cardiovascular disease management processes.

8. Organizes, supports and facilitates NCVSL clinical Affinity Group activity.

Education:
BSN Degree required. MSN preferred. Hold an active nursing license in a state

Experience:

  • At least 5 years experience in clinical cardiovascular field required
  • Previous work demonstrates leadership in cardiovascular clinical quality and program develo! pment
  • Experience with cardiovascular registries strongly prefe! rred
Excellent team facilitation skills required
