High School graduate; GED preferred

Experience:
Successful completion of a nurse assistant vocational training program

Completion of first semeste! r nursing school

Or at least 3 months experience as a Nurse Assistant

Licensure:
None

Position Summary:
Assists the nursing staff by performing assigned duties to assist patients in meeting the activities of daily living, collection of specimens, vital signs and other related data

Assists in communicating patient/family needs to the nurse or other team members

Demonstrates competency in dealing with patients specific to the work area

Assures appropriate care is provided specific to the needs of the patient population

Performs other related duties
