Director of Intake/Assessment

Location: Lexington Ken! tucky

Description: Ridge Behavioral Health System is hiring Director of Intake/Assessment right now, this position will be placed in Kentucky. For complete informations about this position opportunity please give attention to these descriptions. The Assessment Director has 24 hour a day seven day a week
responsibility for the assessment, referral and admission activities.
The Assessment Director ensures prompt response to patient and
referral needs, provides clinical supervision to staff, assures
appropriateness of risk assessments, crisis interventions and
referrals to level of care. The Assessment Director promotes
professional and public relations and recommends and develops
policies and procedures. The Assessment Director promotes patient
care consist! ent with the philosophy and objectives of Ridge
Behavioral! Health.

Requirements

Education

• Masters Degree in Counseling, Psychology or

Human Services field or Licensed Registered Nurse.

Experience

• Three years of experience and knowledge in

the area of mental health required.

• Three years of

intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with
a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient
setting preferred.

• Supervisory/Management experience

required.
Certifications/Licensure

• CPR & NCI

(nonviolent crisis intervention) required. These trainings offered
upon hire. If Registered Nurse, must possess current license.

Other Skills

• Must have a thorough knowledge of

fundamentals of hospital organization and administration, standards,
and regulations of hospital, and laws applicable to mental health
treatm! ent.

• Must have knowledge of hospital admissions

functions, crisis intervention and risk assessment, psychiatric
diagnoses symptomology, basic chemical dependency, age specific
growth and development and crisis and behavior management.

• Must have a thorough knowledge of managed care, third party

payors, and reimbursement within the area of psychiatric care.

• Demonstrated leadership ability and skills in writing.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and

individuals.
