The Pediatric Congenital Heart Service Coordinator has accountability across the enterprise for services provided to children/adults with congenital heart disease. The coordinator will provide leadership across the enterprise and is responsible for coordination of the Congenital Heart Service across the continuum of care. The service coordinator is expected to impact quality, safety, service, efficicency and growth of the Pediatric Cardiovascular service line. Essential functions include:! 1) systematically assesses clinical quality and practice patt! erns and monitors to ensure compliance with clinical standards, protocols and inherent processes. 2) provides direct service and/or consultation to physicians, nurses and staff across the enterprise for complicated patient situations. Patient assessment occurs at an advanced level of expertise. 3) Continually monitors clinical operations to ensure safe and quality driven clinical care is provided across the service line. 4) Communicates bi-directionally with faculty members and staff across the care spectrum
