Position Description

Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology is recruiting for a BC/BE Hematologist/Oncologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. Individuals with previous coagulation/laboratory experience and demonstrated management skills in coagulation and thrombosis preferred. This individual would be the Hemophilia Program Director.

The HTC is part of region III. We have multidisciplinary/comprehensive clinics in Hemophilia/VWD; Stroke/Pediatric Neurology and Young Women's GYN/bleeding disorders. The Division oversees programs in Sickle Cell, BMT, Photophersis, pheresis, and cytopheresis. We are a multidisciplinary service with 5 board certified Pediatric Hematology/Oncology clinics which serve over 6000 outpatients. There are 11 Nurse Practitioners for Hematology/Oncology patient needs, a social worker, a child psychologist, and pharmacy team associated with the division.

Kosair Children's Hospital is a freestanding 260 treatment care center with a 12 bed outpatient day hospital, 16 bed inpatient oncology unit and 4 bed stem cell transplant unit. Our units are FACHT, AABB accredited. Division members sit on numerous COG committees.
