Our Lady of Peace (OLOP) is a private, not-for-profit psychiatric hospital in Louisville, KY, a service of Jewish Hospital & St. Maryâs HealthCare. The hospital was originally founded in 1951 by the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. With 396 beds, Peace is one of the one of the largest psychiatric hospitals in the nation. The Childrenâs Peace Center at Our Lady of Peace is the largest and most comprehensive private provider of child/adolescent inpatient psychiatric care in the country. Our Lady of Peace operates a full continuum of services for patients from young children to seniors, with a special emphasis on psychiatric care for children and adolescents, including several special needs programs. Required Experience:
This position provides leadership in planning, organizing and coordinating the functions of an assigned patient care unit for a specific shift. This role may provide care to a various patient population throughout the life span.
Provides nursing care including administration of medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established nursing policies and procedures. Care provided is based on defined standards of patient care and nursing practice.
Psychiatric nursing experience preferred. One year of experience required if position is for the Resource Team or a PRN position. Minimum two years clinical nursing experience preferred. Able to complete Safe Crisis Management and perform Safe Crisis Management techniques.
Required Education:
Current RN license in the State of Kentucky, BSN preferred. BLS required.
